10.1 Scheduling. In recent years (2025 and 2026) the Activity Fair has been scheduled for 1 to 3 p.m. on a Thursday in March. However, in earlier years it has been on other days of the week and in April or May. The organizers of the Activity Fair will notify the Green Team in advance and will expect to receive information from us about our requirements.
10.2 Tables. We normally require two tables (one for the Green Team and one for Recycling). It is convenient to have a corner location so the Standing Display (also called Project Board) can be placed on a table that’s easily visible to visitors to the room.
10.3 Staffing and Set-up. Several Green Team volunteers are at the tables to talk to the visitors. A sign-up sheet is available for new residents and future residents who want to join the Green Team email list.
One table has information about the Green Team, including Green Team brochures. The Standing Display (36″ high, center panel 22″ wide, and two side panels each 12.5″ wide) has a large PANORAMA GREEN TEAM banner and photos illustrating various Green Team activities (e.g., movies, volunteer clean-ups, sustainability tour, GT website and one or two upcoming general programs). Evie Starr stores the Standing Display at her home.
The second table has information about Recycling, including Recycling brochures.
10.4 Publicity. The Green Team page on the Panorama News for the month of the Activity Fair normally has a short item inviting people to visit the Green Team displays at the Activity Fair. If the room location is known in time for inclusion in that article, it is included. At the Green Team general programs shortly before the Activity Fair we invite residents to visit the Green Team at the Activity Fair.
