About Us

The Panorama Green Team is a volunteer organization at the Panorama Continuing Care Retirement Community in Lacey, Washington.

Here are some of the things we do:

Run the Panorama Recycling Centers
Help with organic waste composting
Design and present educational programs
Arrange for outside speakers to give presentations
Research environmental topics and resources
Meet with management
Make recommendations to management based upon our findings
Sponsor environmental films
Produce informative and entertaining videos for our TV channel
Sponsor and coordinate cleanup events
Work with Panorama to develop the Pollinator Garden
Special projects: Examples – Free document shredding days and donations of money for new trees

Green Team Mission Statement

To encourage residents and the Corporation to be environmentally sensitive, use energy and water resources wisely and, through education, reduce our ‘carbon footprint’ and create a healthier place to live and work.

Green Team Leadership Team:

The Green Team Leadership consists of from 4 to 11 members, who make decisions about policies, programs, and activities of the Green Team.

Additional Support Team Members:

In addition to the Green Team Leadership Team, Green Team members provide services to prepare articles for the Panorama News, run the Recycling Centers, manage the Pollinator Garden, and participate in other activities.

Green Team Brochure:

We have prepared a tri-fold brochure (flyer) with information about the Green Team. Printed copies are available through the Green Team, and the online version is available here in pdf format. Note that this is designed to be printed two-sided on 8.5″x11″ paper, in landscape orientation (horizontal dimension 11″).
