Green Team Meeting 3 p.m. Sept. 14, 2022
via Zoom – Drawdown
Jim Bronson and Sandi Goldie will discuss Project Drawdown, a leading resource for climate solutions. The mission of Project Drawdown is to help the world reach “drawdown”—the point in the future when levels of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere stop climbing and start to steadily decline, thereby stopping catastrophic climate change—as quickly, safely, and equitably as possible.
Drawdown is the concept that we have the necessary solutions, from ancient human practices to recent technological innovations, to tackle the climate emergency and reverse global warming. And in the process, we can realize enormous social and economic co-benefits. Drawdown brings a powerful and positive approach to the climate crisis based on action, solutions and opportunity. This is the topic of the best-selling book Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming, edited by Paul Hawken.
Sandi and Jim were founders of Drawdown BC, bringing the work of Project Drawdown to British Columbia, Canada, and they have recently been giving presentations on this topic in the United States.
If you would like to attend the meeting, you must send an email message to panoramagreenteam@gmail.com by noon on September 14. You will then receive an email invitation with a link to join the Zoom meeting.

About the Speakers:
Jim Bronson
Jim Bronson wishes to foster a deeper awareness of our ecosphere so that all future generations will enjoy a healthy planet for a home and the source of all we need to live fulfilling lives.
Jim developed a heartfelt connection with nature https://panoramagreenteam.org/wp-content/uploads/2022/07/jim-bronson.jpgas an Outward Bound Instructor, leading students into wilderness areas including the Boundary Waters Wilderness on the US/Canada border, and Lake District National Park in England. His MS research project involved several expeditions on the Arctic ice cap north of 82 degrees N. Lat. He founded two organizations that specialized in outdoor experiential training programs for corporate and school groups.
When his partner, Sandi Goldie, dedicated her teaching skills to spreading Drawdown trainings in British Columbia, Jim was an enthusiastic collaborator. Together, they have given Drawdown courses for hundreds of students as well as train-the-trainer courses for Drawdown Trainers and Conveners. Jim and Sandi also offer the Pachamama Alliance course “Awakening the Dreamer”.

Sandi Goldie
When Sandi Goldie first encountered the Pachamama Alliance, she immediately recognized a vision that matched her own. In words from pachamama.org, “The vision that informs the Pachamama Alliance’s work is a world that works for everyone: an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on the planet—a New Dream for humanity.” As an ex-teacher who rewired as a Life Coach, Sandi had nurtured in her kindergarten students a love of the natural world, and they fund-raised to protect acres in the Amazon through the Nature Conservancy as early as 1993.
Sandi discovered the Drawdown Initiative on a visit to Ashland, Oregon, when the local Pachamama Alliance group was offering their first pilot Introduction to Drawdown. She recognized a path of grounded optimism to tackle climate change, and remake the world into a just, fulfilling and sustainable place. She vowed to bring Drawdown classes to B.C. The first class took place in October of 2018, and the classes keep spreading throughout BC! Sandi believes that reversing global warming will take all of us working together at a grass roots level, so let’s get started!
