Southwest Washington Food Hub Harvest Box Subscriptions

Update December 2025 – Our pilot Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA) season with the Southwest Washington Food Hub was a big success, with 23 Panorama subscribers for the summer season and six for the fall harvest.  These individuals received weekly boxes of vegetables grown locally by nearby farmers in Thurston and Lewis Counties.  If you’d like to subscribe next year, watch for information on Kya or on the Green Team Panorama News page in early spring 2026.

The Southwest Washington Food Hub is offering Panorama residents Harvest Box subscriptions to bring fresh, locally grown produce right to your community.

About the Food Hub & Our Mission

The Southwest Washington Food Hub is a farmer-owned cooperative working to connect local farms with communities throughout the region. Their mission is to strengthen the local food system by supporting small to mid-scale growers, ensuring food is produced sustainably, and making it accessible to people where they live. Over 30 farms from across Southwest Washington contribute to the Harvest Box, providing a vibrant mix of seasonal produce each week. Learn more at swwafoodhub.com

What is a CSA?

CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. When you subscribe to a CSA like the Harvest Box program, you’re purchasing a share of the season’s harvest from local farms. Each week, you’ll receive a curated selection of fresh vegetables (and occasionally fruit or herbs), grown with care right here in our region. It’s a wonderful way to eat seasonally and support farmers directly.

What to Expect in Your Box

The contents of the box will vary week to week based on what’s in season. While you’ll see plenty of familiar staples like lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, potatoes, and tomatoes, you may occasionally encounter more unique items—like kohlrabi, garlic scapes, or fennel. To make these more approachable, each box will include a produce guide with short descriptions and simple preparation ideas or recipes. Their goal is to make every item in the box easy and enjoyable to use, whether you’re an experienced cook or just getting started. You will also receive a weekly newsletter with the contents of the box, where they come from, and a couple of recipe suggestions.

Box Sizes and Costs

During the summer of 2025, you can choose between two box sizes:

Panorama Box: $28/week – designed for 1–2 people

Large Box: $38/week – suitable for 2–4 people or veggie lovers

The subscription runs weekly, and you’ll have the flexibility to pause or skip weeks if you’re traveling.
